Biography
Maëva Benaiche was born in Toulouse in 1996. After graduating with a DUT in Physical Measurements at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, and following an engineering course, she joined Toulouse ETPA (school of photography) in 2018 and was awarded with the “Grand Prix Photo” in 2021.
Her photographic work allows her to reveal feelings that she would be unable to express through a simple speech. The act of photographing then allows her, day after day, to discover herself and constitutes an essential role in her quest for identity. Her photographic approach questions the inner and outer world as well as her relationships with them, people, environments, unveiling cracks and weaknesses, underlining strengths.
Elle a publié son premier livre photographique, Staccato, aux Editions Light Motiv en mai 2023. Staccato est un livre de sensations, naviguant entre les éléments organiques, les portraits, les morceaux abstraits que la photographe met en mouvement pour faire jaillir son énergie autant que sa délicatesse.
